LED ZEPPELIN's 'The Song' To Be Screened At BRADFORD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
February 15, 2008On Friday, March 7, as part of this year's Bradford International Film Festival, the National Media Museum, Bradford, UK presents a special event featuring screenings of LED ZEPPELIN's "The Song Remains the Same", plus a special guest appearance by director Dick Carruthers.
Archivist and documentary maker Chris Phipps looks back at the origins of über-rockers LED ZEPPELIN. This special event is complemented by screenings of the thinly veiled ZEPPELIN tribute "Almost Famous" and the band's legendary concert film "The Song Remains the Same".
Dick Carruthers is a multi-award winning director of live concerts and concert DVDs. He is also the producer/director of the groundbreaking 2003 LED ZEPPELIN DVD set. He will discuss the artistic and technical challenges of selectively unleashing and showcasing the myth that is LED ZEPPELIN and reveal the challenges of directing last year's reunion gig.
The Bradford International Film Festival will also screen "Almost Famous" on Tuesday, March 13.
